Engraved Antique Turquoise Solitaire Ring - Victorian

An interesting engraved antique turquoise cabochon in a closed-back gold setting atop a 15k gold band. The engraving looks like it may be an Arabic letter, but I can’t quite identify it. This looks to possibly have been a marriage of two antique pieces - it doesn't look like the ring shank was added at the same time that the stone setting was made.

SIZE / MEASUREMENTS:
The ring is a size between a size 6.5 - 6.75 and could be resized within a size or two
The turquoise is about 9mm at the widest part and 12mm long
