Wonderful Victorian earrings with coral branches wrapped in gold fill repousse vines.

In Ancient Rome, coral was believed to bring good luck and protection, which was a sentiment adopted by the Victorians. They saw coral as a protective amulet against illness and evil spirits.

These may be conversions made into earrings from other jewelry components at some time in the past.
